Singer-songwriter John Corning and bassist Paul Justice join forces to create a unique musical experience.
Uno Duo.
John was a founding member of the Free Hot Lunch Band, an acoustic vocal trio based in Madison, Wisconsin, who toured the midwest in the 80's and 90's and still maintains a cult following. John was one of the principal songwriters, with comic masterpieces like "Trees in Love", "Oreos", "Sex In A Volcano", and "I Hate To Wake Up Sober In Nebraska".
Paul ("PJ") is in the New England Musicians Hall of Fame as a member of the Fat City Band and has worked with Reeve Little, Tom Rush, Kenny Weiland, Marshall Crenshaw, Allen Toussaint, and many others. He toured the U.S. and France as a member of the Memphis Rockabilly Band. PJ currently performs along the Gulf Coast in "Uno Duo" and also with his wife, vocalist Martha Timke in the duo Sweet Justice. He is currently gluten free, but wavering.
John and PJ serve up surprising arrangements of familiar songs, along with delightfully obscure tunes by regional songwriters from Milwaukee to Key West. Their repertoire includes Randy Newman, the Beatles, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Guy Clark, just to name a few.
